Day 1.5 as Project Manager

The 2nd day (well half day) as project manager. This blog is a follow up of what the team are working on and how I think I am doing as project manager.

First thing we done as a team was a quick stand up on what everyone was doing this was just a recap for everyone. Then both teams split into their groups and was working in separate spaces with myself going in between. The focus however for myself was to help the actions dashboard team as these dashboards were the main priority for the client. This team so far have been working on an overview dashboard as well as the main one which shows stock levels whether they are in a deficit or surplus for different stations. For this team I was able to help with making the map drill down (this will be in another blog on how to create this).

The forecasting team was continuing to understand the data. As well as try to plan what the final data should look like and sketched what a dashboard might look like. I found the team discussing with the client if the forecasting was actually plausible to forecast this data by seeing if there was any correlations.

Next steps to help the forecasting team- arrange some calls with the client and the ULD team to try get as much information as possible. I need to keep checking in with both teams and to see if I can support them in anyway. If I can lighten the weight by helping with the task that is the time consuming part the team are able to focus elsewhere.
