Creating a Set

What is a Set?

A Set is a custom field based on rule or condition. Sets operate under a binary (i.e., IN/OUT, true/false). When a set is dragged into the view, "IN/OUT" is displayed on the pill.

Creating a Fixed Set

  1. Select 2 or more points.

2. Click the selected area and select Create a Set.

3. Name your set and click OK.

Creating a Dynamic Set

  1. Find a field in the left hand data pane.
  2. Right click.
  3. Choose Create  > Set...

4. Name your set.

5. Choose General, Condition or Top

4. Name your set and click OK.

General Set

When creating a General Set, select 1 or more values to include in the set, or the select the "All" option so all values are considered.

Conditional Set

A Conditional Set is used only specific values are included based on a rule or condition (e.g., State with profit > $10,000).

Top Set

A Top Set is used when only the Top N is included based on a measurement (e.g., Top 10 States with Highest Profit).
