Today I began my journey through Alteryx led by my trusty guide Robbin. Within 10 minutes of using the software I was pleasantly surprised by functionality of the program. The use of clearly labelled icons and ability to create containers to section off my work allowed me the grasp the calculations and workflow.
However, after exploring the program further I became disappointed, not in Alteryx but in my previous school and university. A tool such as this would have been incredible for any quantitative work I undertook as a student.
I'm looking forward to the possibilities Alteryx holds, I believe the easy to understand user interface will allow myself and fellow data schoolers of DS29 to quickly grasp the basics and move on to more exciting challenges.
