Dashboard week: day 1

Day one is over for our dashboard week. We've been tasked to make accessible dashboards for people with disabilities. We had the choice to decide what kind of disability are we focusing on.

After going through the options, I decided to make a universal dashboard. Next step was to make a plan. You might hear this 100 times, it's for a reason. Making a plan and sticking to it is key thing in any project, but even more on dashboard week.  So, here's one:

9:00 -9:30 Plan

10:30 - 11:30 Prep the data

11:00 - 12:00 Start building the view - a view is not necessarily a dashboard (excalidraw)

12:00 - 12:30 Eat something

12:30 - 14:00 Build the dashboard

14:00 - 14:30 Write the blog

Also important to ask for help. Time is the enemy, so you may think it's far too simple what you need, but for some reason you can't remember how to do it, don't hesitate --> convo.

If something doesn't work and it seems too complicated ditch the idea and come up with something simpler. You have to learn how to adjust.

Finally, here's my dashboard:
