During the second week of the data school we were introduced to chart types for Tableau. I learnt a very useful tool on number formatting. When creating a diverging bar chart, and want numbers on the axis to remain positive, the negative signs can be removed with number formatting. Simply do a custom number scale then remove the negative sign '-' before the hash symbol in the custom option.
Example: The custom scale for -100,000 to 100,000 changes from ,##0;-#,##0 to ,##0;#,##0
This is a tip I plan to use many times going forward.
