In the second day of dashboard week we have been asked to create a dashboard using Power BI to represent the wages across different countries, find a story and present this dashboard.
The first step was choosing a data source, I chose to use the average wages from different countries along with the difference between the younger generation and older generations in terms of wage gap.
Using this data i chose to investigate Iceland as they have one of the most volatile countries in terms of average wage and i wanted to see how this had happened.
I looked into the average difference and saw that after the financial crash of 2007 the average wage plummeted however I wanted to know what happened to achieve this.
First looking into the younger age groups and realized that the younger age groups wages actually increased after the crash, second was the older age groups and i realize their wages ALSO increased directly after the crash.
This must have meant that the main age groups (aged 25-55) are the people who took the majority of the pay cuts during this time.
