When the dataset is in snowflake, instead of trying to download the data into an excel, save it and then load it up into tableau. It is much easier to directly connect snowflake into tableau.
Open Tableau -> connect to snowflake server -> Sign in
- Server: The URL of the snowflake website (Don't include "https://" )
- Role: Not optional - It depends on what role is on snowflake
- Authentication: Use the username and password provided for the snowflake server
And that's it!
