Power BI's Format Painter

While figuring out how to do my first Workout Wednesday (Week 2, 2021)on PowerBI, I found a tool that everyone should be aware of. I have found formatting extremely tedious on PowerBI, having to always go into the format tab and find exactly which settings which need to be changed.

Here is the PowerBI report:

A tool that really helped me with this challenge and with the formatting especially is the format painter:

This tool basically copies the formatting of one chart and lets you apply it to any chart you want! To use it, you first select the chart whose format you want to copy, you can then click on the format painted and simply click on every chart you want to apply the selected format to. If you want to be even quicker, you can group all the charts you want to change the format of. To do this, first select all the charts you want to group (control click) and then right click and group. When applying your copied format via the format painted you only need to select one member of the group and the formatting will be applied to the whole group.

This really facilitate formatting a report to make it consistent. Especially when you staqrt making larger report with multiple pages!
