Alteryx .Bak, Alright!

On a recent project, I received some files and among those files, one had a .bak file extension. I tried all the methods I could think of, but I still couldn’t file to open and show the workflow. I had to ask my bestie, Google, for help.

Now, you may be thinking it’s going to be a crazy process with a gazillion steps. But no.

Navigate to the folder where the .bak file is. Right click on the file, rename, and change the .bak extension to .yxmd. Then if you double-click to open the file or drag and drop it onto the canvas, the workflow should appear.

Crazy that it was that simple right?
