TGI Dashboard Friday

Today’s dashboard has come with the biggest time pressure this week. We’ve had to create a dashboard in just three hours. On the up side, the data was clean and pretty simple. It gives socio-economic measures about different countries over time, such as life expectancy.

I wanted to compare the different countries but there were too many to compare all at once. I decided to compare a chosen country with its neighbouring countries.

To do this I needed to reshape the data in Alteryx.

Once I had done this, I joined the data to some shapefiles in Tableau and then got dashboarding.

With the clock ticking, I opted for some simple bar charts, but given more time, I probably would have included some time series too.

My final dashboard (ever?): https://public.tableau.com/views/Book1_15834254485670/Dashboard1?:display_count=y&publish=yes&:origin=viz_share_link
