Getting the data
We had to web scrap the data from National UFO Reporting Center website for all years since 2008 until 2019. The process wasn’t too complicated and we were able to get the data prepared and clean by 11:00-11:30.
We used a lot of Regex in Alteryx to get the data to the required form, here is the workflow needed to prepare the data:

Despite the fact that we started web scraping the website by 9:30 and that we have a client presentation at 16:30 – most of us were able to finish the task before 16:00. Here is the viz I came up with:
It was a great Regex and a time management learning experience for all of us.
