History
In 1997, the predecessor to Alteryx, SRC LLC, was founded and only 13 years later changed its name to their main product Alteryx. Over the years, the California-based company grew consistently and is employing 2,900 people while creating a revenue of 855 million US$. Along their journey, Alteryx acquired multiple companies including machine learning startups, a no-code AI-enabled data modelling platform, and an analytics cloud platform. In December 2023, Alteryx was sold to Clearlake Capital Group and Insight Partners in a 4.4 billion US$ deal.
Alteryx Desktop
Alteryx Desktop, the main product of Alteryx, is a data analytics platform that provides a range of tools for data blending, data preparation, and advanced analytics. It is known for its user-friendly interface and the possibility to perform various tasks without prior coding skills. In the newest version (2023.2) there are 270 tools. However, further tools can be added from external creators. This might seem like an overwhelming number, especially if you are new to Alteryx. Certifications
Alteryx provides you with the opportunity to prove your expertise and earn Alteryx Certifications. To receive these certifications, Alteryx has developed exams for beginner, advanced, and expert levels. These exams range from two to three hours and once passed, are valid for 2 years.

Even though Alteryx is user-friendly it is not simple. Therefore, especially for beginners, but also for more advanced users, practicing Alteryx is key.
