Blogs.

What are they for? Are they resources for us to look back on? Resources for others to use? A space for individuals to talk about their day or experiences? How did they start? Who wrote the first blog? So many questions.

Of all the things that I signed up for in The Data School, blogging surprisingly seems the most daunting to me. Silly, I know. Learning Alteryx and Tableau do n0t scare me. Not even presenting seems to scare me as much. So why do creating these blogs terrify me?

We were encouraged to post them fairly regularly. So, as a result, my cohort and I collectively decided to write one blog post every other week, but where do I even start? What do I even write about? What’s there left to even write about? There are probably hundreds of blogs posted up every single week, so there are bound to be duplicate topics. It’s probably alright. However, do I want to write about the same thing someone else wrote? Do I want to be like everyone else? Shouldn't I want to be unique? Shouldn't I want to write about something that I can look back on years down the line and still be proud of my work? But the true question is, where do I even start? What do I even write about?

How do other people get their inspiration? Do they write about the first thing that pops into their mind just to get a blog out? Or do they look at others for inspiration?
