As we work towards achieving our goals, we often become so focused on the tasks at hand that we forget to celebrate our accomplishments along the way.
In this blog post, I am thrilled to share with you two visualizations that commemorate growth; the first is for my students in my part-time job and the second is for me in my Data School journey.
As a part-time Data Analytics Mentor, I am constantly impressed by the progress of my students. As we concluded the Tableau unit, I wanted to create a visualization to remind my students of just how far they have come and how much they have learned since the first day of class. Through this visualization, they will be able to reflect on their development and celebrate their achievements.
By presenting this visualization to my students, I hope to inspire them to continue learning. I will update it again at the end of the AWS unit and when they graduate in mid-April! 🎓
After designing this visualization for my students, I wanted to design one for myself - I also want a visual reminder of my success!
To elevate my circle timeline, I added parameter actions - when the user selects a KPI, the corresponding achievements are accentuated.
It was fun to look back and reminisce on my time at the Data School. The celebration of improvement and achievements is an essential aspect of any learning journey. I hope you consider creating your own visualization(s) to track your progress and success!
