Dashboard Week Day 5: I'm a Survivor!

I survived Dashboard Week!!

To conclude Dashboard Week, we visualized the same data given to applicants to Data School New York cohort 3. I have never watched the show, but I was somewhat familiar with the data after helping some friends with it.

My dashboard starts with a general overview of the show before examining the castaways by age. Castaways in their 60's have the highest Sole Survivor rate of 8%. This is due to the smaller pool of older castaways and the victory of Shane Gould, an Australian Olympic Swimming Champion and the oldest winner of any Survivor franchise. #girlboss

If we also compare the castaways in two groups (those younger than 60 and those older than 60), the Sole Suvivor rate of older castaways is 1% greater than that of younger castaways, but younger castaways on average spend more days on the island than older castaways.

Only 1% of Survivor castaways are older than 60 and their performance varies; some are voted out quickly and others are able to go far in the competition. Furthermore, among the 14 older castaways, five outperformed their younger counterparts by spending more than 24 days on the island!

After my analysis, I wanted to add an element of fun to my last dashboard of Dashboard Week. There is a hidden immunity idol in this dashboard - can you find it?
