Here are a couple things I learnt that I wish I knew about Tableau before applying to The Data School.
1) Adding multiple dimensions to the colour mark - In Tableau , if you already have a dimension in the colour mark, adding another will only replace the original dimension. To work around this ctrl + click on the dimensions you want to add, then drag them onto the marks colour.

2) Colour coding your worksheets - When working on big dashboards you may end up with a lot of tabs which can make it difficult to look for particular worksheets. Colour coding your worksheets based on common factors such as time, location, demographics or certain measures can make organising and looking for certain worksheets much easier. Simply right click on the worksheet you wish to change and pick one of the colour options available.
