Zhengyi Qiu

Zhengyi completed her B.A. in International Business Management from the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China in 2013 and her M.S. in International Employment Relations from London School of Economics and Political Science in 2014. After graduation, she started as a compensation specialist in GCL, one of the China’s largest solar photovoltaic enterprises. After that, she worked in a private equity firm in Shanghai to gain financial industry insights. In 2021, she moved to U.S. with her family and her first job was in the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (USA). She joined the Data School to pursue a career change in data visualisation and consulting where her passion lies.

Zhengyi completed her first six-month placement at the Vanguard Group, Inc in December 2023 where she helped the Financial Advisory Services (FAS) sales team to design and develop six comprehensive tableau dashboards so that different regional sales executives as end users are able to gain insights of their sales performance and take future actions to better serve their channel customers.

In the beginning of 2024, she completed another six-month placement at JLL where she helped different JLL clients mainly in the banking and tech industries to move from tedious and inefficient manual process to automatic and insightful BI solutions by consolidating data, optimizing data manipulation and updates in Alteryx and creating clear and actionable dashboards in Tableau. 

Outside work, Zhengyi is a mom of a four-year old cute boy and she loves travelling, cooking and playing table tennis.
