Zak has spent the last decade working as a Performance Analyst across multiple sports — including canoe slalom, netball, football and tennis — delivering video and data analysis to coaches and athletes. Whilst at British Tennis, he worked with players competing on the ATP and WTA tour, who went on to win x17 tour titles and x1 Grand Slam, with three players achieving World Number 1 ranking.
Prior to joining the Data School, Zak held the position of Head of Analysis & Data Solutions in Skylab's Elite Performance Analysis division. In this role, he spearheaded a variety of Performance Analysis services encompassing Data Capture, Discovery & Audits and Performance Analysis projects aimed at addressing critical performance-related questions.
Zak enrolled at The Data School to explore data challenges across diverse industries and to enhance his proficiency in Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, and SQL. Since joining, he has actively contributed to projects spanning various sectors such as retail, wealth management, performance sport, property lending, social media marketing, debt repayment providers and the railway industry.
