Vivien Ho

After graduating with a Law degree from the University of Nottingham, Vivien was looking for a slight change of direction. Having taken up coding as a hobby after her studies, she realised that a career in data analysis would provide the challenge and variety that she desired.

Vivien is passionate about presenting data in a way that is understandable to all, regardless of their analytical expertise. Therefore, she has become an avid participant in social data projects such as #MakeoverMonday which have allowed her to leverage her keen interest in design. She quickly became hooked after taking part in projects such as Operation Fistula, which provided the connecting piece between her educational background in sustainable development and the power of creating compelling visualisations in Tableau. Outside of work, Vivien enjoys reading, learning new languages and using baking as a creative outlet.

Create Trade Areas using Travel Time with the TravelTime API
Trade areas can be created in Alteryx using distance and drive time, but what if we wanted to determine a trade area by the time it takes to walk or use public transport? Luckily, the TravelTime API provides this information for us.
