Tyler Ha

Tyler Ha is a Tableau & Alteryx Consultant for The Information Lab. In 2022, Tyler graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Business Analytics. Since then, he has worked as an analytical consultant in the healthcare/pharmaceuticals industry, where he leveraged marketing data to optimize client campaigns. Additionally, he works as the digital marketing manager for NYC-based jewelry brand, OHT NYC (@ohtnyc). https://ohtnyc.com/

Although he has completed his formal education (for now), Tyler considers himself a lifelong learner and is constantly looking for opportunities for both personal and professional development. This is why he chose the Data School New York.

When not working with data, Tyler likes to sing, play the piano, go to music festivals, and snowboard. As a Philadelphia native, he is a diehard Philly sports fan–Go Eagles! Go Phillies! Sixers, PLEASE make it past the first round of playoffs for once!

Throughout his time in The Data School, his mission is to establish himself as a respected–yet approachable–master of data storytelling.

Labeling Stacked Bar Charts in Tableau
One of Tableau’s best features is its contextual awareness. It is a very smart program that generally knows what you are trying to do based on what you have done already. Unfortunately however, this feature can sometimes lead to automatic assumptions that may not align with your actual intentions

My Journey to the Data School
One of my favorite things about The Data School/The Information Lab is the breadth of diversity within the company. It's very diverse, not only in common diversity metrics like race and gender, but also in things like age and background
