Tim Jeffries

Tim began his career with a journey around the world, eventually settling in Canada, where he provided technical support for Apple. After permanently moving to London, he continued in this role for 12 years before deciding to pivot into a new field. Recognising the potential of data science and analytics, he saw an opportunity to apply his unique skill set in a more impactful way.

Tim's expertise includes programming languages such as R, SQL, and Python, which he developed while earning a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of York. His dissertation focused on quantum computing.

Beyond his professional interests, Tim is passionate about the film and TV industry. He enjoys blending this passion with his hobby of building Lego models, particularly those from his extensive Star Wars collection.

Final project of Dashboard Week , and a project that was officially assigned for two days; sadly I wasn't in on the second day, last Friday, so I didn't have the 4pm deadline to finish and present

Functions here, or maybe not.
Day 3, and I've got a collection of scatter plots, all checking for correlations between pairs of five variables. Ideally, I'll click on a point on one of them, and it'll highlight the relevant point in the others as well, maybe fading out the rest, or changing it to a different colour

Second day of Dashboard Week, and today was all about accessibility, with my task being to create a dashboard based on UK Covid data, accessible to as many people as possible. The data included case detections, hospital admissions and deaths, all grouped by date and region

Scraping multiple webpages - in Power Query
One of the most enjoyable days so far today, as the planned Power Query WOW webpage scraping wasn't working as expected, so another had to be found quickly, and TL;DR no-one was entirely sure exactly how to get all the pages in properly
