Salome Grasland

Since joining Data School, Salome has worked across a variety of industries, including retail, real estate, and manufacturing. Her projects have focused on empowering clients to leverage tools like Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI to uncover insights and trends within their data. She holds certifications in all three tools, including Alteryx Core, Tableau Data Analyst, and Power BI Data Analyst.

Before joining the Data School, Salome worked internationally in education and the sciences, teaching at the high school level while serving in the Peace Corps in Mozambique. During that time, she sought out data science training, honing technical skills in machine learning with Python and developing the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences and stakeholders.

A self-described ‘Jane of all Trades,’ Salome enjoys learning a little bit about everything. She has explored APIs, AI technologies like Tableau Pulse and GPTs, and dabbles in SQL. She also has a passion for data outreach and education, having led enablement sessions like Tableau 101 and Intro to Alteryx.

Outside of her consulting role, Salome enjoys making art, exploring nature, and experimenting in the kitchen.
