His next role in an import-export company sparked a profound interest in entrepreneurship, leading Otaro to launch his own business as a sales and marketing representative for East African agricultural producers targeting European markets.
It was in this role that Otaro began to sharpen his project management skills. He quickly transitioned from a sales representative to a co-creator of pioneering organic food brands for the European market, collaborating closely with his partner producers. This entrepreneurial journey exposed Otaro to a myriad of challenges, which fueled his desire to optimize business processes more effectively.
