Lorenz Nacilla

Lorenz graduated from the University of Leicester with an MEng in Aerospace Engineering. Having a role on visualising and analysing his final year group project data on tidal turbines via MATLAB sparked an interest in the world of data for him after graduating.

Highly skilled in Tableau and Alteryx, he has been able to utilise these tools to provide clients insights within a range of industries such as wealth-management, sport, and transport.

Currently at BAE Systems, he leverages his technical skills alongside his communication skills to deliver key insights to senior stakeholders and wider members within BAE Systems. For example, building Proof of Concept dashboards that highlights the overall engagement & return on investment of projects by showcasing how much total value they bring and comparing it to the respective budget.

Proficient in SQL and Snowflake, he is capable of writing queries that transform data in its desired & required format. Has had some experience in creating tables and views for live connection to Tableau as well as having a clean, structured raw datasource/view of the data.

With his broad and extensive skillset, it allows him to be able to use these tools to prep, clean, and manage data ready to be visualised in a full start-to-finish pipeline.

Outside of work he mainly enjoys sports and fitness, particularly volleyball and weightlifting.
