Katie Matkin

Katie graduated with a first-class degree in Mathematics. Before joining The Data School in December 2021, she worked as a Mathematics teacher, a Data Analytics Recruitment Consultant, and most recently a Sales Manager in the hospitality sector. However, being a mathematical and logical person, she felt she needed a career that would challenge her analytically. During the pandemic, she had the chance to re-evaluate her career path, and spent her time studying and exploring Data Analytics. During this time she came across The Information Lab, which has proved to be the perfect opportunity to learn and develop into a career which she has always desired.

During all her placements, Katie has worked extensively with both Alteryx and Tableau, where she has gained experience in managing other team members and worked on a variety of projects that have developed new and existing Tableau & Alteryx skills. Alongside this, Katie has volunteered to lead Tableau Enablement training sessions for different clients.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys exploring new places, spending time with friends and running.
