Isabel has a background in social sciences, graduating with a degree in Human Geography from Durham University and a master’s in Geopolitics, Territory and Security from King’s College London.
After university, Isabel worked for over two years in analytics at a maternal health non-profit, where she managed the data collection process. Here she was introduced to Tableau and Alteryx for data processing and visualisation, and loved how powerful and accessible the tools were.
During her time at the Data School, Isabel has worked in the finance team at Northern Railway, building up her skills in Tableau Desktop and Server, Alteryx Designer and Server, and Snowflake, to automate reporting and dashboards to provide insights to the team. She also designed and delivered a 10 week Tableau Creator training programme.
Isabel’s next placement was at BAE Systems, where she worked with stakeholders to deliver c-suite level dashboard solutions using Tableau and Alteryx, to provide insight into the performance of various business functions.
Isabel’s third placement is at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation, where she has refined her design and spatial skills to produce analysis and visualisations which communicate key insights using mainly publicly available datasets.
