Holly Jones

Holly has a biology educational background and first developed an interest in data whilst using statistical analytical tools (R and QGIS) to map species spatial distributions following coral restoration efforts in Mexico. After working in various industries including healthcare, veterinary medicine and social media she dabbled in Oracle SQL and decided to harness her enthusiasm in data into a career.

During training, Holly has collaborated with industry stakeholders including sports science, retail and banking as well as creating challenges in Tableau Prep for the Preppin' Data project for TIL. Her achievements include creating insightful dashboards highlighting drivers behind customer satisfaction for a flight company and creating teaching plans and training videos for the Power BI DAX language.

Additionally, she has achieved the Alteryx Designer Core, Tableau Data Analyst Associate and Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certifications.

While on placement, she designed and managed Tableau dashboards to monitor over 200 key performance indicators monitoring travel operations, sales and financial metrics. She has leveraged her Tableau skills to drive organizational training in a retail setting through development of a comprehensive training directory dashboard, and enabled streamlined reporting and dashboard creation by designing business dashboard templates and authored user-friendly guides.

During her leisure time, she enjoys travelling, learning languages (including Italian and Indonesian) and scuba-diving.
