Hannah Murphy

Hannah graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2019 with a degree in History and French. With work experience predominantly in hospitality and retail and an essay-based degree, finding a chosen career that she was passionate about was not as straight-forward as she had hoped.

Upon discovering The Information Lab and Tableau, Hannah found she had a genuine passion for data visualisation; she was particularly drawn to the open and collaborative company culture offered by The Information Lab. The combination of the analytical and creative provides the unique set of challenges and opportunities that she was looking for as she started her journey as a data consultant.

Having previously worked for Credit Suisse, and currently in the accounting sector in FP&A, Hannah has had experience in delivering complex Alteryx and Tableau projects. Her previous placement as Community Manager in the PwC Alteryx Community of Practice has allowed her to engage with Alteryx in a different way and facilitate the expansion and standardisation of the PwC Alteryx user base, running large-scale community events and training sessions. These are skills that she continued to use in her subsequent placement, implementing a bespoke training programme for the FP&A team with plans to roll out to the company at large.

Hannah is Tableau Desktop Certified as well as holding the Alteryx Foundation, Core, Advanced and Machine Learning Credentials.

Hannah describes herself as a people person and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She remains interested in History and Culture and travels when she can.
