Giorgia Umani

Having recently graduated from her Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance, Giorgia was eager to start working as data analyst. After discovering Tableau during her interview process, she better understood the potential of Data Visualisation and how Tableau can be applied to any kind of problem solving situations. Being new to the software Giorgia looks forward to learning more about data visualisation and being able to deliver information through a simple but powerful way, and she is sure there is no better place than Data School.

In her free time Giorgia loves reading, cooking and socialising.

A quick tip to highlight a selected item from a parameter. Here an example how it works. You create your parameter, in this case called ‘Choose a Sub-Category’ and then you create a calculated field that I am going to call ‘Highlight a Sub-Category’ as fallow

My thoughts of the Data School
The first two days are gone at the Data School and I already feel like I’ve learned a lot. Before applying for the job, I was not too familiar with what Tableau was and what this powerful tool could do, but I found myself being obsessed after the first few hours
