Finn Charlton

Finn studied Biochemistry at the University of Oxford and started work in the pharmaceutical industry – but soon realised that working with data was his favourite part of the job. After discovering Tableau and enjoying how easy it makes getting insight from data, he decided to spend more time with the software and switch roles to data consulting.

During his time at the data school, Finn has also grown to enjoy the challenge of data preparation, especially using Alteryx. He is an active part of the online Alteryx Community, contributing content and solving problems for other users. He has consulted for Inmarsat, a British satellite telecommunications company, for 10 months - where he has developed skills across Tableau, Alteryx and SQL.

Using Tableau, Finn designed eye-catching and insightful dashboards in the areas of finance, revenue assurance and data quality. He has worked on multiple Alteryx projects, including automation of manual accounting processes and spatial analysis of customer data access locations. Finn has also developed strong SQL skills while performing data preparation across schemas of normalised tables in Google BigQuery.

Finn loves problem solving and can often be found with a crossword in hand. He also enjoys watching a varitey of sports, cooking, music and running.
