Edward Sinclair-Hughes

Edward is a graduate of King’s College London, where he earned a degree in Mental Health Nursing, and had previously studied Computer Science. During his time at university, he participated in both Quantitative and Qualitative Research, where he discovered his passion for analysing data.

Throughout his training, Edward had the opportunity to work with several companies across various sectors, including finance, travel, charity, and construction. His work involved using Tableau and Alteryx to help these organisations make data driven decisions and improve their operations.

Edward has since achieved his Alteryx Designer Core, Tableau Data Analyst and Power BI Data Analyst certifications.

In his first placement, Edward worked with the University of Nottingham on Student Number Planning, where he was tasked with accurately allocating £400 million to various faculties across the University.

During Placement 2, Edward was involved in a number of client projects whilst also gaining additional certifications. In addition, he lead several Power Bi teaching sessions for the Data School.

Notably, he developed a Power BI project which is currently being utilised by a City Council, aiding in their decision-making processes in a bid to fight homelessness. Additionally, he created a suite of Tableau dashboards for one of the leading student accommodation businesses, enhancing their data reporting and analytics capabilities.
