Eden Thiede-Palmer

Eden Thiede-Palmer is a data analytics consultant with a Master's degree in Physics from Durham University, where he developed a passion for using data to solve complex problems and visualize results.

During his time as a consultant, he has worked on various projects including

  • Supported professional sports teams in tracking and reporting player performance, including physical metrics and in-game statistics using both Tableau and PowerBI.

  • Assisted rail industry in planning for large-scale events by analyzing crowd movement data using Power Query and PowerBI.

  • Managed a project for a major British retailer, developing Tableau dashboards to track employee training progress.

  • Accessed public APIs using Alteryx to create Snowflake SQL databases on traffic incidents.

During his master's degree, he completed a project that involved using Python to analyze student data from before and after COVID-19 to identify noticeable changes, titled "The Effect of Remote Learning on Undergraduate Research Experiences". He presented this research at the Variety in Chemistry Education/Physics Higher Education Conference (ViCEPHEC) in August 2023. 

Before joining the data school Eden had previously played American Football professionally in the European League of Football, and is currently a part of the national team for Great Britain.
