Dominic Emm

Dom graduated from the University of Essex with a degree in Computer Science. During his studies he learnt a variety of programming languages and developed a love of data while building a number of AI models.  After graduating he wanted to find a career where he would be able to combine his passion for data with his creative flair.  This lead him to discover The Information Lab, a supportive and collaborative environment where, using Tableau, he can do just that.

So far during his time with the Information Lab, Dom has thrown himself into a variety of projects which have involved data prep and visualisation in Alteryx and Tableau; data engineering in SQL and modelling with Python as well as teaching. He has gained an insight into a range of industries whilst working with companies such as PwC, IAG Cargo and BAE Systems.

Outside of work, Dom enjoys all things performing arts, kayaking and keeping up to date with all the latest film/tv releases. When needing to relax and unwind, he zones out whilst playing the guitar and piano.
