Dan recently graduated from The University of Sheffield with an MSc in Data Science. During his time there, he developed a keen interest in machine learning, data visualisation and big data. He concluded his degree by combining his passion for data with football, where he completed a three-month project utilising machine learning to help aid player recruitment.
Prior to this, Dan had completed a Biology degree, which included a year abroad in Australia. His enjoyment of the analytical aspects of this course motivated him to use his time away to develop his data skills by taking foundational courses in Python, SQL, web development and Java.
The experience obtained from his education confirmed his desire to pursue a career in data, which led him to the Data School, where he hopes to continue to grow and expand his data skillset.
