Bianca Ng

Now in her third placement of the second cohort of Data School New York, Bianca is defining her visual style and analyzing with flair, with Tableau and Alteryx! She's a co-leader of the Data + Women NYC user group and is active in the online data community. For the past year, she's been placed at Vanguard as a data analytics consultant. She has spearheaded numerous projects aimed at enhancing data visualization, dashboard design, and analytics efficiency across multiple departments. One of Bianca's notable achievements includes developing comprehensive documentation, including corporate style guides and visualization optimization handbooks.

Her expertise extends to reviving and optimizing defunct dashboards, augmenting their use cases. Recognized for her meticulous attention to detail and receptiveness to feedback, Bianca applied best practices and design principles to create intuitive dashboards that significantly improved time to insight and rated higher in UX design principles when compared to existing analytics products.

Bianca has supported a Tableau Cloud migration and coordinated efforts to facilitate a smooth transition, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills. She's implemented resilience frameworks to enhance data integrity and reliability, addressed data quality issues, and provided ad-hoc training sessions to contribute to analytics modernization initiatives.

Prior to the Data School, Bianca earned a B.A. in Mathematics and has experience on data entry teams in nonprofit organizations. Her first (coding) language was Excel and she waited patiently for years for the =LAMBDA function to be out of beta. She joined the first cohort of the Data Analyst Training Accelerator (thanks to the partnership between Tech Talent Pipeline/Fullstack Academy), adding SQL, Python, and Tableau to her toolkit.
