Born in Venezuela and raised in Dublin, Alvaro is a professional with four years experience in financial services in roles ranging from customer advisor to mortgage broker. In this role he became a qualified financial advisor and learned how to manage various stakeholders in a high pressure environment. Experiencing the effects that data fluency can have on an organisation led him to pursue a career in data.
As a data consultant Alvaro is especially drawn to Tableau’s design, analytical and storytelling capabilities, while also having a track record of using Alteryx and Power BI in engagements with clients. Previous clients include a top premier league club, the largest vacation rentals company in Europe and a prestigious university. He prides himself on his communication and interpersonal skills.
Alvaro graduated with a Business Commerce degree from University College Dublin. During his time in university, he got an opportunity to study abroad at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He discovered an interest in data while at McGill, where he was introduced to data software and languages, including an introduction to Tableau and R.
Alvaro is a fluent Spanish speaker and in his spare time he likes attending music gigs, following his favourite sports teams, eating out and exploring London.
