Adam Ratcliffe

Adam graduated with a degree in Physics from University of Kent before joining The Data School.

Finding Tableau really opened him up to seeing how data visualisation can be the perfect analytical and creative outlet. Adam then spent time working on his skills through “Makeover Monday” weekly Tableau exercises before joining The Data School.

Adam has obtained Tableau Certified Data Analyst and Certified Alteryx Designer Advanced qualifications. Always wanting to learn more he has enjoyed picking up SQL, Python and Power Query data preparation skills, as well as Snowflake, which he has used on placement with The University of Nottingham.

Adam has had success in placement in sectors such as the Automotive Retail, Higher Education and Defence at Harwoods, University of Nottingham and BAE Systems respectively.

Map Context without Clutter
When using a map in tableau it often cleans up the view to washout the map layer entirely to just have the relevant areas you are looking at. The USA is a classic example as it has a widely recognised shape

Makeover Monday Time Trial
