Dashboard Week - Infographics in Tableau

This morning, I opened up the data school blog to see a blog post written by Andy instructing the cohort to make a Marvel Infographics dashboard. At first I had no clue what an infographic was so my first action was to go onto Pinterest and find some.

I happened upon this dashboard which I really liked for it's simplicity and how easy it was to gain key insights from. I also thought I could use the small boxes as areas to add Dynamic Zoning to so I put together a sketch in Excalidraw.

I had some big ideas on creating an infographic that demonstrated the evolution of the Avengers but was limited by the dataset which only recorded characters up until 2015. Aside from a few issues with containers, the building and presentation went quite smoothly.

My feedback for this dashboard included some suggestions to change the layout of the bottom section and suggestions to make all of the text white as the colours were a little confusing.

Looking forward to tomorrows challenge.
