We had 62 applications for DS13, who started their training in early February. Week 1 was all about learning the basics of data prep, whereas week 2 was about visualization best practices and an intro to Tableau. So what exactly does it take to get into The Data School? Let’s take a look at DS13’s applications.
As you look at these, you might notice the data sets are different. Why?
- Some of them applied early enough and showed enough promise that we brought them in for an early interview.
- Some were finalists from previous cohorts, e.g., DS12, and were offered a spot in DS13.
- Some were offered the role after the final interviews for DS13.
Apply early. You get more time to iterate on your application and you have the potential to be offered an early interview. Don’t wait! Get your applications in!
