Dashboard Week Day 4: Power BI

Today involved working with PowerBI to create a KPI dashboard.

I chose to work with sales and marketing data for this dashboard because we've spent a lot of time working with this type of data in training and during client projects.

When I started digging into the data, I was finding that a lot of the metrics were a little confusing. There isn't a data dictionary available to accompany the dataset so I had to do some extra research to understand what the metrics were representing.

I began my day by researching existing KPI dashboards to determine the types of charts and metrics I could include in mine. I then created a design in Excalidraw to use as a basis for my Power BI dashboard.

My end result dashboard included a story that started with market share, then focused on sales and then manufacturers and then sentiment scores.

If I had more time, I would work on improving the aesthetics and design.
