This morning me and the rest of DS46 started learning about calculations and functions within Tableau, focusing on their syntax as well as common mistakes made when working with them. We then wrote guides for some functions which I've shared below.



Following on from this we looked at similarities and differences in Syntax across software. Typically Tableau, SQL and Alteryx have very similar syntax across most of their functions, as do Excel and Power BI M. Ultimately what this task helped me learn was how to navigate different software's syntax, and understand that there is a lot of cross over.
