Getting a little lost in the detail? Stop, rewind, Worksheet -> Show Summary

Understanding the nature of your data will play a huge part in how you process it, your choice of analyses or statistics and, ultimately, what you end up visualising.

Exploring key elements of the underlying data structure is straightforward in Tableau. All that is needed is the ‘Show Summary’ card.
